Huntsville, Ontario - You never know what budding talent you might be witnessing in the entertainment at a popular summer resort. About 15 years ago, a young Eileen Twain arrived at Deerhurst Resort from Timmins Ontario, having just taken on the responsibility of her three younger siblings after their parents were killed in an automobile accident. Even though Deerhurst was not looking to hire, her auditon was so impressive that she was hired, and spent the next three years polishing her skills in the resort's 'Vegas-style' show. Today we know her as Shania Twain, one of the top-selling female singers in the world. Shania was married at Deerhurst, and so was her sister. For an NBC prime-time special with Katie Couric (of the Today Show), Shania came with a whole production crew to reminisce.
