What Makes Canada Cool?
The World’s First UFO Landing Pad is in St. Paul Alberta
(Now, do you think the aliens have it marked on their maps?)
UFO Landing Pad
St. Paul, Alberta - Follow Highway 28 Northeast of Edmonton, Alberta and you’ll find St. Paul, the town that built a Flying Saucer Landing Pad to celebrate Canada’s centennial in 1967. The Hon. Paul Hellyer, Minister of Defense, even flew in by helicopter to officially open it. The $11,000 cost was donated by members of the community and the land was provided by the town. A UFO Interpretive Display has been opened in the adjacent tourist information centre, with photos of UFO’s, crop circles, cattle mutilations, and information on hoaxes. There’s even a UFO hotline, so if you have a sighting, here’s the toll-free number to call 1-888-SEE-UFOS.
