Toronto, Ontario – The sidewalks of Toronto may not be paved with gold, but several office towers are covered with it. Across from Union Station, just east of the Royal York Fairmont Hotel are the Royal Bank Plaza Towers, which have been insulated for heat by having the windows covered with very thin coating of 24-carat gold leaf. The 41-and-26-storey towers have a total of 14,000 windows, covered with 2,500 ounces (70,875 grams) of gold, valued at over one million dollars. This complex is said to
have more glass than any other skyscraper in the world.

  1. While they were trying to keep that heat out, do you know they got embroiled in a legal suit by their neighbor building, for deflecting unwanted heat and radiation towards them?

  2. We stumbled over here from a different website and thought I might
as well check things out. I like what I see
so now i am following you. Look forward to finding out about your web
    page for a second time.
