Quebec City, Quebec – More than 12,000 adrenaline junkies from across Canada applied for a chance to compete in the fifth year for the Red Bull Crashed Ice event in Quebec City. A combination of hockey,
boardercross, and downhill skiing – this is the fastest sport on skates!
The March event attracts amateur and professional hockey players from around the world, and in 2104 more than 100,000 spectators cheered them on.
The latest course is a 480m-long ice track with a 40m vertical drop, that starts in front of Québec City’s Parliament Building and tears through challenging obstacles, plunging into the heart of the historic city’s old town. For more information watch the Redbull.ca website. And, if you can’t visit, watch the website for broadcast details, it has been shown live via the internet.
