Norfolk County, Ontario – Norfolk County, just South of Brantford, Ontario on the shores of Lake Erie is a sea of orange in the Autumn. Outside the
town of Waterford, famous for its PumpkinFest event, you can drive the country roads and see hundreds of acres of pumpkins – an amazing site – a true testament to Autumn and the perfect setting for Thanksgiving and Halloween. Norfolk County is the number one growing region for pumpkins in Ontario. World record setting pumpkins have been showcased at the Norfolk County Fair and Horse Show.
In Norfolk County you can also see patches of white pumpkin. Sometimes called Snowball or Ghost pumpkins, they continue to gain in popularity, especially for decorating and painting.
