The Notebook staring Rachael McAdams and Ryan Gosling

London, Ontario – Ryan Gosling, Rachael McAdams and Justin Bieber were all born at London’s St. Joseph’s Hospital. Rachael was first, on November 17, 1978. Ryan came along on November 12, 1980, and Justin was born here on March 1, 1994.

McAdams attended the Original Kids Theatre Company in London, worked at McDonalds for three summers, and graduated with honors with a BFA degree in Theater from York University. She lives in Toronto.

Gosling grew up in Cornwall, then moved to Burlington,  where he attended Lester B. Pearson High School. He got his start by successfully beating out 17,000 others at a Montreal audition for  a spot on “The Mickey Mouse Club.”

The twice-engaged (but no longer together) pair met on the set of the very successful romantic drama, The Notebook (link to trailer). Gosling has been quoted as saying “I mean, God bless The Notebook (2004), it introduced me to one of the great loves (Rachel McAdams) of my life. But, people do Rachel and me a disservice by assuming we were anything like the people in that movie. Rachel and my love story is a hell of a lot more romantic than that.”
