Jordy of Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu
Charlevoix, Quebec – Five days a week youʼll likely find Jordy curled up in his cozy bed in the
lobby of the gracious Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu. This male Labrador Retriever was trained in Ontario by the Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind, but as he explains on his Facebook page, his ʻextreme patience and friendlinessʼ made him better suited to the social life of resident hotel dog where he gets to meet different people every day.

Jordy is there to greet guests, and go for walks with them. When I met him he was the 11th canine ambassador of the Fairmont hotel chain. I had him join me for a stroll in the hotel – where did his best impersonation of a vacuum cleaner, checking under every piece of furniture, just in case.
Guests can reserve time with him, he has his own
appointment book at the concierge desk, in fact he even his own business cards.
After 5 pm and on weekends he heads home with a member of the staff and lives with her family. At Fairmont properties in Quebec you can also find Santol at Le Château Frontenac, Gracie at Tremblant and Monte at Le Château Montebello.
