Charlottetown, P.E.I. – In March 2014, the year of its 50th season, Anne of Green Gables — The Musical™ was officially recognized by Guinness World Records as ‘Longest Running Annual Musical Theatre Production in the World.’ The show launched July 27, 1965 and by the beginning of its 50^th anniversary season about 2.4 million people have already attended a total of 2,827 performances in the 1,100-seat theatre at The Charlottetown Festival.
