Charlottetown, P.E.I. – In March 2014, the year of its 50th season, Anne of Green Gables — The Musical™ was officially recognized by Guinness World Records as ‘Longest Running Annual Musical Theatre Production in the World.’ The show launched July 27, 1965 and by the beginning of its 50th anniversary season about 2.4 million people have already attended a total of 2,827 performances in the 1,100-seat theatre at The Charlottetown Festival.
