NOVEMBER 2006 AT LAKE LOUISE MOUNTAIN RESORT MARKS BEST OPENING ON RECORD

 
Calgary, AB – December 1, 2006 – Lake Louise Mountain Resort is pleased to announce that November 2006 was one of the best season starts in the past 38 years. Since October 25th, the mountain has received over 200cm of accumulated snowfall, as measured at the treeline.

The Resort opened on November 11th with over 3,250 feet of vertical terrain available to skiers and riders. The Summit Platter has been in operation since opening day, whisking visitors up to 8,650 feet. The mountain has since opened all four mountain faces, and all lifts and are operating with approximately 116 runs (of 139) open.

“This has been a phenomenal start to the ski season here in the Canadian Rockies,” says Matt Mosteller, Senior Director of Business Development for the Resort. “Locals are saying it’s the best they have ever seen. Add to that the excitement of the Men’s and Ladies’ Winterstart World Cup Events, Lake Louise Mountain Resort is the place to be right now.”
