What Makes Canada Cool?
Mont-Tremblant has a club so cool it's made out of ice
Mont-Tremblant, Quebec - Once again Canada takes ‘cool’ and creates something unique - this time’s it’s a bar / lounge made completely out of ice at Canada’s second largest ski resort. The 3,700 sq ft ‘N'Ice Club is built with 100 tons of ice and 1600 tons of snow, can accommodate more than 200 people, and features a dance floor, ice bar, fireplace, video projectors, and drinks served in glasses made of ice. The average temperature inside is 28 o F (-2 o C). The new structure will make a winter visit to Mont-Tremblant an especially memorable experience. The club will be open mid-December through mid-March, to all ages, from 11 am to 11 pm. There’s a $15 entrance fee. Award-winning Mont-Tremblant is in The Laurentian Mountains, about 90 minutes north of Montreal. It's so cool, Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones recently purchased property in the region to build their own luxury ski retreat. Photo courtesy Ice Hotel Quebec-Canada ©Sandra Bellefoy.
